In May 2016 the Victorian Government temporarily replaced the City of Greater Geelong Council with three administrators following a Commission of Inquiry into Council’s governance, performance and culture.
The period that followed has seen remarkable progress for a City and economy in transition and it will soon be time for representative government to resume when Council elections occur on October 28.
In this Q&A style forum Dr Kathy Alexander (the chair administrator) will review the work undertaken, changes introduced, progress made to ensure good governance and efficient management of the City’s activities and services and explain the arrangements for Council elections.
